About Rick Streitfeld & Art Windows

Hello, I’m Rick Streitfeld. I founded Art Windows in 1996, though I’ve been immersed in the arts and glass industry for most of my life. Originally from South Jersey, I moved West in 1976 and have made Huntington Beach, CA, my home since 1980.

My primary goal for every commission, whether it’s a highly custom beveled window or a full color stained glass window, is your complete satisfaction with both the final art piece and the service I provide. I understand that home projects can be stressful, so I make every effort to stay in constant contact. You’ll have both my studio and cell numbers, and I encourage you to call, text, or email with any questions at anytime. I love sharing "work-in-progress" photos and will always send a final photo of the finished window before installation or shipping.

Craftsmanship & Design

In every design, I balance artistic placement with rigorous quality craftsmanship. My offerings range from traditional beveled windows to unique, "outside-the-box" creations. Whether you prefer clear textures, elaborate handmade bevels, or vibrant stained glass, your vision is my priority. I often include something a little different in design once we are in the design phase, and it’s a joy to see how often those creative, unexpected ideas become the client’s favorite.

Quality Built to Last

After decades of refining my techniques, I use the industry's best processes to ensure a secure seal and a stable window. My leaded glass is built to the highest standards, designed to last for decades. I utilize:

• Premium Materials: Everything from mouth-blown Rondels to higher-quality low-iron glass for beveling.
• Custom Bevels: Hand-faceted and Double Beveled options ranging  from  stunning 3/8” and 1/2" thick glass, as well as budget-friendly 3/16" thick stock  bevels. 
• Mockups when needed: For full-color stained glass, I often create digital mockups from photos of actual glass to help me select the best possible art glass before the final building of your project.

I love meeting new people (and their pets!) and offer no-obligation local visits to help get you the info you need to get your project started. If you are outside of Southern California, *Art Windows ships nationwide in custom crates and are insured to your door.

Because I want every project to be low stress, I only take on commissions where I can provide the dedicated time and attention your project deserves. I also make sure the project is a good fit for both of us before commiting to it. Not all projects are right for me and we can discuss that when we meet or chat.
